HI THERE!
I’m Jen—the Artist behind Kaiya Creative
I’m a surface designer and illustrator with a deep love for color, pattern, and transforming everyday spaces for the seasons and special celebrations. I grew up watching my Mom in her craft and sewing room, inheriting her creative curiosity. From curating cozy spaces to wrapping meaningful gifts, finding ways to add personality to the ordinary has always been part of daily life.
That curiosity followed me through a long career in design, eventually leading me to launch Kaiya Creative to make work that felt entirely my own—blurring the lines between modern and vintage, minimalism and maximalism, clean geometry and textured handicraft. Every collection begins with art made by hand, whether I’m painting in my studio or sketching on my iPad between travels. From there, it finds its way onto textiles, home décor, paper goods, and gifts.
When I’m not designing, I’m growing cut flowers, sewing, or trying to make a dent in my ever-growing stack of books, board games, and puzzles. In the summer, you’ll find me somewhere outdoors camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest or off on a new adventure with my husband and our wildly imaginative five-year-old.
